Climate Control

 

 

The HVAC system and controls, including the distribution system of air into the workspaces, are the mechanical parts of buildings that affect thermal comfort. These systems must work together to provide building comfort. While not usually a part of the aesthetics of a building, they are critical to its operations and occupant satisfaction.

 

The No. 1 office complaint is that the workplace is too hot. No. 2 That it’s too cool. Many people cope by adding fans, space heaters, covering up vents, complaining, conducting "thermostat wars" with their co-workers, or simply leaving the office. Occupants can be driven to distraction trying to adjust the comfort in their space. Improper temperature, humidity, ventilation, and indoor air quality can also have significant impacts on productivity and health.
When we are thermally comfortable we work better, shop longer, relax, breathe easier, focus our attention better.

 

                     

Building Automation

 Building Automation logic features that provide a powerful combination of monitoring and control options:

• The ability to control Home Auxiliaries with Zone Inputs as well as from LCD Terminals and PCs.
• Area Auxiliary timing options.
• Zoned Air-conditioning control.
• Event Counting features with multiple trigger points.
• Plant Alarm monitoring and reporting.
• Analogue level monitoring.

When used alone, or integrated with the Security and Access functions, applications such as the following can be easily implemented:

• Lighting automatically turns off if no movement detected for a specified time.
• A User presents their card. If permission is granted, the alarm in the Area which the User wants to enter is turned off, the Door lock is released and the lighting in that Area is turned on automatically.
• Garage, patio and entry hall lights automatically turn on when garage door opened at night-time.
• Air-conditioning turned Off when the security system is On. i.e. When the building is unoccupied.
• Air-conditioning Zone Dampers closed when zone is unoccupied
• Faults in plant equipment (power failure, refridgeration failure, low water pressure, gas leaks, etc.) are instantly reported to a central monitoring station.
• Garden watering system activates between 4.30am and 5.00am on Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays. (But only if the moisture sensors indicate dry!)
   

Ease of use
The client also benefits from the programming structure. System Management Software                                                                                                                             
Concept 3000/Access 4000 can be further enhanced through the use of ACCEPT System Management (R) Software.
ACCEPT runs under a Windows) 95, Windows) 98 or Windows NT(R) 4.0 operating system, providing a user friendly
operator interface to the Concept Access 4000 system. Dynamic Graphics screens allow Alarm points Areas, Doors, Lifts and Auxiliaries to be monitored and controlled as required in a simple point and click environment .

                                                                                          

ACCEPT allows easy configuration and maintenance of those databases typically required by a system administrator (e.g. Users, User Types, Time Zones, Holidays, Area / Door Lists, etc.) and provides full database backup and restore facilities along with full database editing facilities for the installer. Customised database reports can be printed or saved as tab-delimited text files for use in word processor, spreadsheet or relational database applications.#
