Climate Control Systems
 

The Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning and Air Filtration systems and controls, are the mechanical parts of buildings that affect thermal comfort. These systems must work together to provide building comfort. While not usually a part of the aesthetics of a home, they are critical to its operations and occupant satisfaction.

The No. 1 occupier complaint is that the room is too hot. No. 2 That it’s too cool. Many people cope by adding fans, space heaters, covering up vents, complaining, conducting "thermostat wars" with their families. Occupants can be driven to distraction trying to adjust the comfort in their space. Improper temperature, humidity, ventilation, and indoor air quality can also have significant impacts on pleasure and health. When we are  comfortable we, relax, breathe easier, focus our attention better.

Building Automation

When used alone, or integrated with the Security and Access systems, applications such as the following can be easily implemented:

• Individual room requirements of temperature and air quality .
• Lighting automatically turns off if no movement detected for a specified time.
• Garage, patio and entry hall lights automatically turn on when garage door opened at night-time.
• Air-conditioning turned Off when the security system is On. i.e. When the building is unoccupied.
• Air-conditioning Zone Dampers closed when zone is unoccupied.
• Faults in services  are instantly reported (power failure, refrigeration failure, low water pressure, gas leaks, etc.)  
• Garden watering system activates between given times. (But only if the rain sensors indicate dry!)
• Blinds and curtains controlled to act automatically on response to heat or lighting conditions.
• The user presents their access card. If permission is granted, the alarm in the Area which the user wants to enter is turned off, the Door lock is released and the lighting and Air-conditioning in that Area is turned on automatically.
